Strange Days

Chasm stood in a small abandoned section of the parking lot... it was a rare occasion when he didn't have Solomon with him..... What he did have.. was a large piece of chalk and some bad mojo to work out... His mouth moved to words long since left unspoken... his hand carving out a series of circles and symbols with the chalk...

His technique was raw and naturalistic.. but there was no doubt in the being he was summoning...

"Show yourself Chriso.."

Chriso lifts his head up in his workshop as he senses something.
The Summoning incantation that only the trusted knew.
Chriso picks his hat off his working anvil and exits the workshop making his way to the parking lot.
He sees a fiqure chanting at the other end of the lot, walking over to the man.

Chriso: Good Evening Chasm......
*Looks down*
No dog tonight?.........
*looks back up*
What is your business with me this night?

"I've dishonoured our agreement.." he stood .. one of the few that never feared.. yet respected Chriso.. hence why they worked so well as partners..

"I failed you when I was needed most and as such.. by the old laws... Owe you a boon... I acknowledge this requirement.." He lifted his hand to offer it..

"I also offer my apologies... I allowed a darker side to embrace me far too easily... "

Chriso stares down at Chasm.
The thoughts of the PPV running through his mind.
He however puts his hand on Chasm's shoulder.

Chriso: It is the reason i dont drink.......
It has the power to change us......
the darkness in it can overcome the purest of souls.......
this night needs no apology.......
only a lesson learnt from this mistake......

Chasm nods and suddenly feels Chriso's grip tighten on his shoulder.

I also hear you are in the scramble.......
While my respect for you remains.......
i will not go easy on you........
and i want your fullest potential in that ring!!!

"I've never given any less.." He looked back giving a nod..

"I'll leave you to your foundry... And I to my children.." He stepped back...

"Until Saturday..."

As Chasm walked away, Temperedjoker comes from the shadows walking towards Chriso. He never looks at Chriso, he just stares at Chasm as he leaves.

Temperedjoker: Regardless of how we may feel towards each other Chriso, we are still a team in some respects. I may not agree with everything you do, but you are still an ally.

Joker turns his head towards Chriso to finish speaking.

Temperedjoker: Do you believe our friend to be ok now? Chasm has had to go through alot these past few weeks. Do you see him making it through the dark?

Joker waits for an answer.

Chriso didnt move as Joker came next to him.
He merely glanced with his eyes to the left at Joker, still not forgiving all the times Joker took SadMan's side.
He then looks back ahead at Chasm aswel lowering his head.

Chriso: How we feel about each other is not important now......
We will save our feelings for the scramble in two days time.......

Chriso closes his eyes as he speaks.

Chriso: Chasm has gone over to the darkness once......
He has tasted its power......And he realises it was the wrong path.......
I have known Chasm not to make the same mistake twice.......
And if we are there to help him counter the darkness.......
History will NOT....... repeat itself again.

Chriso turns his head to look at Joker.

Joker smirks as he sees Chrisos face turn to him.

Temperedjoker: Then I guess we should both keep our eye on our old friend then.

Joker turns to walk away but stops suddenly.

Temperedjoker: As far as Saturday goes, just stay out of my way and I'll stay away from you. No telling what would happen if to buddies like us were to hook up in the middle of the ring.

Joker laughs lightly under his breath as he continues on his way.
